Pasta Primavera with Sweet Italian
Sausage
Serves: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound of your favorite pasta
- 1 package Italian Lean LinksTM
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 medium yellow pepper, sliced into
2"x1/2" matchsticks
- 1 medium red pepper, sliced into
2"xl/2" matchsticks
- 2 cups broccoli, small florets
- 12 black olives, halved
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh sage, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions:
1. Cook pasta in boiling water. Drain.
Toss in 1 teaspoon olive oil. Set aside.
2. Blanch the peppers and broccoli. Cool
and set aside.
3. In a 10" skillet, brown whole
Italian Lean LinksTM in the remaining olive oil. Drain. Cut
diagonally into 1/2" thick slices. Set aside.
4. In the same skillet, briefly sautГ©
the garlic and peppers with salt. Toss in the herbs, olives,
broccoli. Add wine, simmer for 2 minutes.
5. Serve immediately over pasta. Try a
garlic-parsley spaghetti or tomato-basil linguine for added
color and taste.
